Since September 2010, Christiani has been assisting with the
implementation of three EU education projects in Romania.

A total of 2,000 Romanian teachers are being trained in the area of mechatronics and motor vehicles, as well as project work. The goal is to communicate modern, practical and theoretical teaching methods such as have already been successfully applied in German vocational training. Christiani is lending its support with training units in Germany (exchange of best practices) and providing teaching material and specialised training room equipment for the projects. Countless Christiani documents have been translated into Romanian for this purpose.

The projects are being financed by subsidies from European social funds and aim, as part of the modernisation of the Romanian education system, to improve the training of teachers in technical and general-education schools in Romania. Project partners include the Technical Universities of Pitesti and Cluj Napoca, as well as Tera Impex, Christiani's sales partner in Romania.

The focus of the further education seminars is to teach Romanian teachers the concept of practical learning and training. Above all, this applies for the seminars held as part of the mechatronics project. Christiani is organising workshops for the motor vehicle project, as well as on the topic of project work, with informal exchanges and visits to factories and educational establishments. All participants have a keen interest in gaining a deep insight into the dual training system in the Federal Republic of Germany.

In the period between March 2011 and July 2012, Christiani will regularly supervise groups consisting of 20 to 40 people. Approximately 2,000 Romanian teachers will be coming to Germany as part of the three projects. The training courses will be held in conjunction with the Hohentwiel vocational school, Bildungsakademie der Handwerkskammer Konstanz (Konstanz Chamber of Crafts educational academy) and the GARP educational centre in Plochingen.
